How long does it take to build a new website?
Most Self-Edit builds go live in days to weeks, not months. The exact timeline depends on the size of the site and how quickly content and approvals come together. We’ll give you a realistic schedule with your quote, and we’ve been hitting those schedules since 1998.
What does the website building process look like?
Four steps, and you’re involved in every one. We start with a consultation to understand your business and goals, then our team creates a custom design and works with you until it’s right. Once you approve it, we build the site, then launch it and train you on how to use it. You can see finished examples in our portfolio.
Do I own my website once it’s built?
Yes, completely. Your site, your domain name, and all your files and content belong to you, not to Self-Edit. If you ever want to move to another company, everything comes with you. We’d rather keep clients by doing good work than by locking them in.
Will I be able to update the website myself?
Yes. We build sites to be easy to update, and training is included at launch, so you can change text, photos, and pages without calling a developer. If you’d rather not touch it at all, our maintenance service can handle updates for you.
